Built for every Commander.
Launchcast is designed to be usable by everyone. We treat accessibility as a first-class feature, not an afterthought. If something doesn't work for you, we want to hear about it.
COMMITMENT
Accessibility bugs are treated as P0 — same priority as crashes. Every release is tested with VoiceOver. Every new feature ships with accessibility labels.
Supported features
VoiceOver
Every interactive element has accessibility labels. Navigate the entire app with gestures, keyboard, braille, or speech.
Voice Control
Control the app entirely with your voice. Tap, swipe, type, and navigate hands-free.
Larger Text
Full Dynamic Type support through AX5 (largest accessibility size). Nothing is truncated at any size.
Dark Interface
Launchcast is dark-mode-only by design. The space aesthetic reduces eye strain for extended use.
Differentiate Without Color
All status indicators use both color AND icon or text. A successful launch is a green checkmark, not just a green dot.
Sufficient Contrast
All text meets WCAG AA contrast ratios on dark backgrounds. Primary text achieves 15:1 or higher.
Reduced Motion
Particle effects, liftoff animations, and complex transitions have cross-fade fallbacks when Reduce Motion is enabled.
Haptic-Optional
T-0 synchronized haptic is an opt-in feature. All app functionality works without haptic feedback.
Still in progress
We're honest about what we don't support yet:
- Captions for audio clips — Mission Audio Archive has full transcripts; closed-caption styling is on the roadmap.
- Audio Descriptions — launch videos are streamed from YouTube; audio description availability depends on the source.
- Switch Control — works with standard SwiftUI controls but not formally tested end-to-end.
